Schedule update

I am her at Mom's now with Jerry & Carolyn.  They will be leaving tomorrow (Thursday the 31st) to go back home.  I will be here until Wednesday the 6th of April.  We are concerned about Mom remembering to eat and take her meds regularly, so that being said, Rich let us know when you can make it back up here again to check on her.  All the leftovers in her fridge were untouched because she had no idea what they were. An idea that I had is to maybe label and date any leftovers that we put there on our visit, that way she will know what it is and maybe eat it.  Judy if you could remind her about nighttime meds whenever you call to check on her that would be great.

We are back in Broussard. The trip back was uneventful except for the forest fire around mile marker 176 on I-49. couldn't see flames, just lots of smoke.

I'm not sure taking Mama's car away just now is a good idea. She seems pretty depressed by it. And we don't want that. Perhaps we can rethink how we can sell it. If it was in her carport and sold, I believe she could handle it better, seeing the money and all. I did not sign any papers with the car lot if we (or Mom) decide that we want to go another way.

When I went by to get the handicap sticker the car was on the back of the lot and had not been washed. There were a couple of receipts in it as if they used it to run errands. The receipts did not appear to have anything to do with the Aztec. I also noticed fresh trash in it and there was something sticky on the drivers seat.

I don't think Bubba has gotten on this blog yet, so I will call him and express these same thoughts. I forgot to talk him through the sign on procedure, so I will try to get to that this weekend.

My schedule

My tentative schedule (subject to approval @ work) is to come to Bossier on WED 30MAR and leave on WED 6 APR to return to Conroe.  I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished during that week, including getting the advance paperwork turned in for Mom's Veteran Benefit package and hopefully getting a lot of unneeded stuff cleared out of Mom's house.  And yes, Judy, I have not forgotten about working on your computer.  I'll do that, too.

New Schedule

Chris took this coming week off (from sub'ing in the local schools) and we are coming up Sunday instead of Monday. However we will need to leave Thursday afternoon to have Friday to get ready for our first camping trip this year ( two whole days!).

Hi Everyone,

I should be there Monday, the 21st. I plan on staying until Friday morning and then I will have to return home. We have a camp out planned with Jessica and family. They bought a 5th wheel trailer the same day we bought our new(er) motor home.
I will take Momma to bowling Tuesday and where ever else she wants to go (except the boats!).

Party @ Horizon Bay Thursday

Horizon Bay is having a St. Patrick's Day party this Thursday (Mar. 17). Jerry, since you're coming tomorrow I think you'll still be here on Thursday, so let's plan on taking Mom. It might be a good opportunity to break her in and let her meet a few of the people. The invitation was in a separate flyer in The Sunday Times -- 2 p.m. and I will RSVP by tomorrow (14th). I want to try the "green beer"!
